The most popular destinations and visited Peru have to do with the ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the most visited and where nearly all Latin American history. Take the old city is about the history of the Incas and the whole development of South America. There are more classic tours to get to Machu Picchu, those promoted by the tourist agencies, but the alternative to reach the Inca ruins in the worlds summarize in the following route:
From the border of Peru, the first village is Yunguyo, site from where we take a car to the station and then board a bus to the town of Puno. Once there, we can rest a night in some accommodation that virtually consuming few dollars. The next day, from Puno station will board a direct transport to Cuzco.
Generally, those places that are not sold then stoop for a few dollars and we can book a passage on the hour. The trip to Cuzco is 10 hours or so. Then we move from Cuzco to Santiago Station to no more than 15 minutes, and then to Quillabamba in 8 hours away. Then depart to Santa Teresa on a journey of no more than 3 hours to arrive at a small town very beautiful.
From there, we will begin the final step towards Machu Picchu, where some villages very scenic traverse to, from Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu leaving for and meet some of the most compelling story of South American civilization. This is a cheaper travel option, which does not include air but will allow us to witness the depths of Peru and America.
